Frieder, our friendship began almost 50 years ago. I was a Canadian teenager living in Lahr for 6 years and we became instant best friends; inseparable. You and your family were always like a second home for me...and that super strong bond was never weakened by the 8500kms that would eventually separate us. Over the years we saw each other frequently, sometimes annually, each time just carrying on from where we left off. I was truly honoured to have you as a best friend and I will always cherish our memories. RIP guter freund.
Flavia, Annegret and Adam: I am so sorry for your loss of a great husband and a great father. Although it will never be the same without him, i look forward to many future visits especially to witness the "A Team" as they grow and flourish into full adults that both your Dad (watching from above) and Mom will most certainly be proud of.
